AN ACT

 

amending Title 41, chapter 7, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 41-1134; relating to legislative standing committees.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 41, chapter 7, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-1134, to read:

START_STATUTE41-1134.  Budget bills; waiting period; definition

A.  A budget bill may not be heard in any legislative standing committee until at least seventy-two hours have elapsed after the budget bill's introduction.

B.  For the purposes of this section, "budget bill" means the general appropriations bill, the capital outlay bill and each budget reconciliation bill.END_STATUTE
