AN ACT

 

Amending title 20, chapter 13, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 20‑2333; relating to accountable health plans.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 20, chapter 13, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 20-2333, to read:

START_STATUTE20-2333.  Telemedicine; payment to health care providers; definition

A.  An accountable health plan that offers coverage for health care services provided through the use of telemedicine shall pay a health care provider who furnishes a health care service through the use of telemedicine an amount equal to the amount that the health care provider would have been paid if the health care service had been furnished without the use of telemedicine.

B.  For the purposes of this section, "telemedicine" has the same meaning prescribed in section 36‑3601. END_STATUTE
