AN ACT

 

Appropriating monies to the university of Arizona.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; university of Arizona health sciences center; primary care practice; exemption

A.  The sum of $21,600,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2019‑2020 to the university of Arizona health sciences center to develop an ongoing program to pay the total cost of each student's medical school education if the student agrees to practice primary care in underserved rural communities in this state for three years.

B.  The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
