AN ACT
amending title 28, chapter 3, article 13, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 28‑878; relating to parking.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 28, chapter 3, article 13, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 28-878, to read:
28-878. Veteran parking spaces; definition
A. Each state agency having jurisdiction over street parking or publicly owned and operated parking facilities shall provide specially designated and marked motor vehicle parking spaces for the exclusive use of veterans.
b. The veteran parking space shall be adjacent to the parking space designated for persons with physical disabilities unless that space is reserved for a government official, in which case the veteran parking space shall be adjacent to the parking space reserved for the government official.
C. For the purposes of this section, "veteran" has the same meaning prescribed in section 41-601 and includes the veteran's surviving spouse.
