SENATE BILL 1286

 

 

 

AN ACT

 

Amending title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 9‑500.30; amending title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 11-269.10; relating to county, city and town permits.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 9-500.30, to read:

START_STATUTE9-500.30.  Issuance of permits; time limit

Within sixty days after receipt of a complete application for any permit issued by a city or town, the city or town shall approve or deny the proposed application.  A failure to respond within sixty days after receiving a complete application for any permit constitutes approval of the application.  END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 11-269.10, to read:

START_STATUTE11-269.10.  Issuance of permits; time limit

Within sixty days after receipt of a complete application for any permit issued by a county, the county shall approve or deny the proposed application.  A failure to respond within sixty days after receiving a complete application for any permit constitutes approval of the application. END_STATUTE
