AN ACT

 

amending title 44, chapter 9, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding article 26; relating to cellular telephone companies.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 44, chapter 9, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding article 26, to read:

ARTICLE 26.  CELLULAR TELEPHONE COMPANIES

START_STATUTE44-1382.  Cellular telephone companies; contract option to view child's text messages

A contract between a federal communications commission licensed cellular telephone company and a customer must offer the customer the option to retrieve and view text messages that are sent from or received by the customer's minor child's cellular telephone.  The contract may include an additional fee for this option.END_STATUTE
