AN ACT

 

AMENDING section 15-209, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to the state board of education.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Section 15-209, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE15-209.  Disbursement of apportioned federal funds

If monies are apportioned to a school district pursuant to section 15‑207, the state board of education shall direct the department of administration division of finance to draw a warrant for the amount apportioned, and the state treasurer shall pay the warrant upon presentation, as provided by law.  The school district shall immediately deposit the monies with the county treasurer of the county in which the district is located, and the treasurer shall place it the monies in the appropriate fund to the credit of the district.  Thereafter the monies shall be disbursed by the county treasurer only on the voucher of the school district and the warrant of the county school superintendent.
