A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

honoring america's civilian military workers.

(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE)

Whereas, since our nation was founded, millions of individuals have served in the United States armed forces and have been rightfully honored for their sacrifices of time, efforts and even their health and lives to preserve our freedoms.  Recognized far less often are the many civilian workers in our military who, during times of peace and war, ensure the success and smooth operations of our military bases through their vital behind-the-scenes efforts; and

Whereas, although civilian military workers are not enlisted and cannot be deployed, these dedicated men and women serve a key function in our nation’s military by performing essential administrative operations each day and meeting the various needs of servicemen and servicewomen.  Their diligent efforts ensure the safety, security and well-being of our nation’s military personnel and facilities; and

Whereas, it is indeed fitting that we recognize the many contributions and outstanding service of the countless civilian military workers who have been instrumental throughout America's history in maintaining the military success and might of our great nation.

Therefore

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring:

That the Members of the Legislature recognize our nation's civilian military workers, past and present, for their outstanding efforts on behalf of the United States military and honor them for their exceptional patriotism and dedication.
