providing for a review by the auditor general of the department of revenue.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Auditor general; department of revenue; review; report

A. The auditor general shall conduct a review of the department of revenue regarding the department's essential staffing needs and employee compensation and identify strategies to fill any open positions within the department.

B. On or before December 31, 2024, the auditor general shall submit its report of the review, including any recommendations and findings, to the governor, the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives and the director of the department of revenue and provide a copy of this report to the secretary of state.
