An Act
appropriating monies to the Arizona department of homeland security.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; Arizona department of homeland security; grants; religious institutions; security; exemption
A. The sum of $10,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2022-2023 to the Arizona department of homeland security to award grants pursuant to title 41, chapter 24, Arizona Revised Statutes, to religious institutions to enhance the security of buildings and to pay the cost of law enforcement and other security personnel for religious services and events conducted by the religious institutions.
B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
