An Act

 

appropriating monies to the department of administration.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Appropriations; department of administration; in-school recess and after-school programs; exemption

A. The following sums are appropriated from the state general fund in the following fiscal years to the department of administration to distribute to organizations that partner with school districts and charter schools that provide instruction in kindergarten programs and grades one through eight to administer in-school recess and after-school programs that ensure safety, promote increasing engagement and empower students and adults to take ownership of the programs:

1. $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2024-2025.

2. $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2025-2026.

3. $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2026-2027.

B. The appropriations made in subsection A of this section are exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
