appropriating monies to the department of education.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Appropriation; department of education; curriculum; AAPI — Asian American Pacific Islanders; exemption

A. The sum of $100,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2022-2023 to the department of education to issue a grant to a nonprofit organization located in this state to develop a curriculum on the history and contributions of AAPI — Asian American Pacific Islanders in the United States.

B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
