HOUSE BILL 2575

 

 

 

AN ACT

 

amending title 13, chapter 37, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 13-3708; relating to unlawful motor vehicle transfers.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 13, chapter 37, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 13-3708, to read:

START_STATUTE13-3708.  Sale or transfer of motor vehicle; lien disclosure; classification

A.  A person shall not knowingly sell or transfer the person's ownership in a motor vehicle without disclosing to the purchaser or transferee that the motor vehicle is subject to a restitution lien pursuant to section 13-806.

B.  A person who violates this section is guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor. END_STATUTE
