HOUSE BILL 2474

 

 

 

AN ACT

 

relating to department of public safety employees.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Temporary rule for department of public safety employees

Notwithstanding section 23-392, subsection D, Arizona Revised Statutes, the director of the department of public safety, through January 1, 2014, may establish alternative work periods, in accordance with federal law, for the purpose of determining overtime compensation for employees of the department of public safety.

Sec. 2.  Emergency

This act is an emergency measure that is necessary to preserve the public peace, health or safety and is operative immediately as provided by law.
