AN ACT

 

Amending title 36, chapter 3, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36-334.01; relating to birth REGISTRATION requirements.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 36, chapter 3, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-334.01, to read:

START_STATUTE36-334.01.  Birth certificates; proof of citizenship

This state's requirements regarding the issuance and registration of birth certificates are prescribed by the provision of article XIV, section 1, Constitution of the United States, that states, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside."
