AN ACT

 

amending section 28-3308, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to driver license regulation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Section 28-3308, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE28-3308.  Mandatory suspension; failure to appear; photo enforcement system exception

On notification that a person failed to appear as directed for a scheduled court appearance after service of the complaint alleging a violation of a provision of this title, the department shall suspend the person's driver license or nonresident operating privilege until the person appears, the fine or civil penalty is paid or a bond is forfeited.  This section does not apply if the violation is a result of a photo enforcement system as defined in section 28-601.
