appropriating monies to the DEPARTMENT of education.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriations; department of education; school safety program; fiscal years 2020-2021, 2021‑2022 and 2022-2023; intent

A.  In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal years 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, the sum of $75,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in each of fiscal years 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 to the department of education for the school safety program established by section 15-154, Arizona Revised Statutes.

B.  The legislature intends that the school districts and charter schools whose proposals have been approved pursuant to section 15-154, Arizona Revised Statutes, for fiscal year 2019-2020 will continue to receive funding for renewal applications for fiscal years 2020-2021, 2021‑2022 and 2022-2023.
