AN ACT
amending section 38‑874, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to retirement.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 38-874, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
38-874. Effect of participation
A. Any benefits provided pursuant to the provisions of this article shall be in addition to any other benefits provided by law for any employees of this state and shall be supplemental to the provisions of the state retirement system provided pursuant to title 38, chapter 5, article 2 of this chapter.
B. Any income deferred under a plan established pursuant to this article shall be included as regular compensation for the purpose of computing the retirement and pension benefits earned by any employee participating in such plan.
