AN ACT
amending section 41‑1712, Arizona Revised Statutes; amending title 41, chapter 12, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding article 12; relating to the department of public safety.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 41-1712, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
41-1712. Organization of department; divisions
A. The department shall consist of the following divisions:
1. Arizona highway patrol.
2. Narcotics enforcement and criminal investigation.
3. Scientific criminal analysis.
4. Training and education.
5. Law enforcement information sharing.
B. The department may establish district headquarters and stations at various places in the this state, using existing facilities wherever possible, with the personnel and equipment necessary for the proper functioning and operation of the headquarters and stations.
C. The director may establish other divisions or reserves or reorganize or consolidate the department.
Sec. 2. Title 41, chapter 12, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding article 12, to read:
ARTICLE 12. LAW ENFORCEMENT INFORMATION SHARING DIVISION
41-1830.41. Law enforcement information sharing division; duties
A. The law enforcement information sharing Division is established in the department.
B. The division shall implement and maintain a law enforcement information and integrated data network.
