HOUSE BILL 2124

 

 

 

AN ACT

 

Appropriating monies for child care assistance.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Allocation of appropriated child care assistance monies

Any monies appropriated to the department of child safety and the department of economic security from the federal child care and development fund block grant for child care assistance in fiscal year 2018‑2019 or 2019‑2020 in excess of the amount appropriated in Laws 2018, chapter 276, section 17 or 29 to the department of child safety and the department of economic security from the federal child care and development fund block grant for child care assistance shall be allocated as follows:

1.  $26,700,000 for provider rate increases.

2.  $14,000,000 to serve children on the waiting list.

3.  $13,100,000 to increase tiered reimbursement pursuant to section 46‑805, Arizona Revised Statutes, for infants and toddlers and for children in the care of the department of child safety.
