AN ACT

 

amending Title 15, chapter 5, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-548; relating to public schoolteachers.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 5, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-548, to read:

START_STATUTE15-548.  Harassment, intimidation or harm by teacher; discipline

A.  A teacher who is employed by a school district or charter school may not harass, intimidate or harm any parent, pupil or other public school employee.

B.  If a school district or charter school determines that A teacher has violated subsection A of this section, the school district or charter school that employs the teacher shall subject that teacher to disciplinary action, which may include suspension or termination of employment. END_STATUTE
