Page 1, between lines 10 and 11, insert:

�b. a local education agency may apply to the state board of education for a special waiver to select a statewide achievement assessment not on the menu of statewide achievement assessments. the state board of education shall review the special waiver request and may only approve special waver requests for assessments that meet the requirements prescribed in subsection f of this section.�
