HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2421

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:
"Section 1. y
On or before October 1, 2020, the department of child safety shall report to the chairperson of the house of representatives health and human services committee and the chairperson of the senate health and human services committee on all of the following:
1. System improvements for children who are adopted out of foster care with complex trauma that results in dangerous behaviors.
2. An evaluation, including outcome data, of programs and services that are offered by other states to address complex trauma.
3. Mechanisms for suspending parental rights when the adoptive child is a danger to the family as corroborated by law enforcement while maintaining the goal of permanency as required by federal law or other alternatives to terminating parental rights."
