FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 186 as introduced could increase the obligations of the Alabama Port Authority by an undetermined amount to allow the Authority to purchase, construct, and operate inland property and facilities, including intermodal and multi-modal facilities. These obligations could be offset by increased fees assessed from the use of any new facilities.

Further, this bill would allow the Authority to issue bonds for the purchase, construction, or improvement of such inland facilities.
