April 16, 2012

• Death & Taxes Release: eLobbyist is now LegiScan, all accounts/passwords remain the same, URLs are still valid and will automatically redirect, but users should transition to using the legiscan.com domain. Split views in most Insight browser drill down views to group by All, Current or Archived bills. My Regions, allowing arbitrary grouping of states and access control, along with group management & profile editing in extended testing for select GAITS Pro users; release to general user base is expected in the next week.

March 8, 2012

• Full text search engine weighting policy has been changed to better normalize across text length and within document/query frequency. Translation: search results should be more relevant than before. As always we appreciate feedback so please Contact Us with comments and input.

March 7, 2012

• Documentation update for OneVote and GAITS Professional covering the My Alerts features for monitored bills and saved searches.
• Corrected an issue with LegiScan API key requests not being properly generated under certain circumstances.

March 4, 2012

• Official public release of the LegiScan API, get real-time data in XML/JSON from the LegiScan national legislative database. Requires an authenticated account to generate API key.
• My Alerts behavior change, Weekly Summary reports entire monitoring list summary, Daily Updates (GAITS Pro) reports only changed bills.
• Toggling alert for saved search warns when global My Alerts search setting is disabled, which must be enabled to trigger report generation.
• Goto bill number after update for GAITS Pro users is back to being case-insensitive, in addition it can be used during Unmonitor operation to jump instead of returning to My Bills.

March 1, 2012

• There will be a few maintenance windows between March 1, 2012 thru March 4, 2012 from 1AM - 4AM Eastern time. Service may be intermittent during these periods, we apologize for any inconvenience.
• In Like A Lion Release: alerts for monitoring lists (everyone) and saved searches (GAITS Pro, OneVote+). Subscription based accounts can now edit group contact information for reporting purposes. Expired accounts can no longer access RSS feeds. PDF reports are now branded. Single layer classification tracking knows adjectives better now. Miscellaneous fixes and cosmetic updates/changes. Documentation updates will follow next week.
• As we get closer we will provide more details, but Real-Soon-Now™ e-lobbyist.com will become legiscan.com. The reasons are varied, but it will largely be transparent to end users and all the old eLobbyist links will still work and automatically redirect you to the new LegiScan domain.
