CHAPTER 703
An Act to amend and reenact § 54.1-3906 of the Code of Virginia, relating to attorney liability to client.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 54.1-3906 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 54.1-3906. Liability to client.

Every attorney shall be liable to his client for any damage sustained by the client through the neglect of his duty as such attorney. Damages in lieu of interest, not exceeding fifteen percent annually until paid, may be awarded against him.
