CHAPTER 398 An Act to direct the Board for Asbestos, Lead, and Home Inspectors to update its regulations to require that home inspections include a determination of whether the home's smoke detectors are in good working order. [S 607] Approved April 11, 2022

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. The Board for Asbestos, Lead, and Home Inspectors (the Board) shall update the regulations in 18VAC15-40-130 to require that a home inspection and the report on its findings include a determination of whether the home's smoke detectors are in "good working order," as defined by the Board.
