SENATE BILL NO. 371 Offered January 10, 2024 Prefiled January 9, 2024 A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 15.2-4221.1, relating to planning district commission boundaries; King George County. ---------- Patron-- Stuart ---------- Referred to Committee on Local Government ----------

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 15.2-4221.1 as follows:

§15.2-4221.1. King George County to be member of Planning District 17.

Notwithstanding the planning district boundaries previously established by the Department of Housing and Community Development pursuant to this chapter, as of July 1, 2024, King George County shall be a member of Planning District 17 and shall not be a member of Planning District 16. The Department of Housing and Community Development shall provide assistance to King George County and to Planning Districts 16 and 17 in order to accomplish this transition.
