SENATE BILL NO. 340 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee on Local Government on February 4, 2014) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Senator Puller) A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 37.2-405.2, relating to group homes.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 37.2-405.2 as follows:

§37.2-405.2. Group home license applications.

Upon a request from a local government chief administrative officer, the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services shall provide a list of licenses issued by the Department during the preceding month for group homes and residential facilities housing eight or fewer persons. Such list shall include the name and contact information for the provider as well as the address of the licensed group home or residential facility.
