A BILL to amend and reenact §55-519.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the Virginia Residential Property Disclosure Act; required disclosures pertaining to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration airfield.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That §55-519.1 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§55-519.1. Required disclosures pertaining to a military air installation or National Aeronautics and Space Administration airfield.

The owner of residential real property located in any locality in which a military air installation or a National Aeronautics and Space Administration airfield is located shall disclose to the purchaser whether the subject parcel is located in a noise zone or accident potential zone, or both, if so designated on the official zoning map by the locality in which the property is located on a form provided by the Real Estate Board. Such disclosure shall state the specific noise zone or accident potential zone, or both, in which the property is located according to the official zoning map.

That the provisions of this act shall become effective 90 days after the adoption of a local zoning map by Accomack County designating parcels of real property located in the County that are in a noise zone or accident potential zone, or both, pursuant to the provisions of this act. Upon adoption of such local zoning map, Accomack County shall notify the Virginia Code Commission. ]
