SENATE BILL NO. 1551
AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE
(Proposed by the Senate Committee on Finance
on February 1, 2017)
(Patron Prior to Substitute--Senator Newman)
A BILL to prohibit the closure of the Central Virginia
Training Center without General Assembly authorization.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. §1. That, notwithstanding any plan for the closure of training centers developed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services currently in place, the Central Virginia Training Center shall not be subject to closure unless specifically authorized by the General Assembly.
