WHEREAS, Darius Joshua Appiah, a beloved member of the Fredericksburg community, died in January 2024; and
WHEREAS, Darius Appiah was born in Fairfax County and graduated from George Washington University, where he studied user interface and user experience design; and
WHEREAS, in his professional life, Darius Appiah was highly admired by his colleagues for his maturity, dependability, work ethic, and enthusiasm; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his work in technology, Darius Appiah was passionate about fashion and dreamed of creating sophisticated designs that reflected his principles; and
WHEREAS, Darius Appiah was able to find joy and beauty in the simplest moments and inspired others through his unwavering positivity, sense of wonder, and generosity; and
WHEREAS, Darius Appiah will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his parents, Maxwell and Eunice Appiah; his siblings; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Darius Joshua Appiah; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Darius Joshua Appiah as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
