WHEREAS, Amelia Stansell, a hardworking member of the community and a dedicated supporter of local businesses and the fine arts, was named a 2015 Fauquier County Citizen of the Year; and WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Citizen of the Year award honors individuals who have made exceptional contributions to their fellow Fauquier County residents or the county as a whole; Amelia Stansell was nominated by Center District Supervisor Chris Granger; and WHEREAS, Amelia Stansell works to strengthen the Warrenton community by promoting and supporting local businesses as president of the Greater Warrenton Chamber of Commerce; she has represented the business community before the Warrenton Town Council on numerous important issues; and WHEREAS, also serving as an executive at Middleburg Bank, Amelia Stansell has helped individuals, families, and businesses meet their financial goals by providing a broad range of financial services and professional expertise; and WHEREAS, Amelia Stansell has supported local culture and the fine arts as a board member of the Bluemont Concert Series, and she works to enhance the quality of life of all her fellow residents as an active member of the Rotary Club of Warrenton; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Amelia Stansell hereby be commended on being named a 2015 Fauquier County Citizen of the Year; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Amelia Stansell as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her contributions to the Fauquier County community. |
