HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 522
Commending the National Concrete Masonry Association.

 

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, April 11, 2018

 

WHEREAS, the National Concrete Masonry Association, a national trade organization with several member businesses in Virginia, has represented and supported producers and suppliers of concrete masonry products for 100 years; and

WHEREAS, established in 1918, the National Concrete Masonry Association strives to advance, promote, and protect the common interests of its members through leadership, education, and government advocacy at state and national levels; and

WHEREAS, the National Concrete Masonry Association also provides its membership with technical information, safety and regulatory information, market research, and peer networking opportunities; and

WHEREAS, in the Commonwealth, the National Concrete Masonry Association serves Allied Concrete Products, LLC, in Fredericksburg, Richmond, and Chesapeake; Anchor an Oldcastle Company in Gainesville and Winchester; Blue Stone Block Supermarket, Inc., in Roanoke; Boxley Block, LLC, in Roanoke; Chandler Concrete Company in Christiansburg and Danville; E. Dillon & Company in Swords Creek; Tidewater Block, LLC, in Suffolk; and Valley Building Supply, Inc., in Harrisonburg; and

WHEREAS, the National Concrete Masonry Association will commemorate its 100th anniversary at its Midyear Meeting from July 31 - August 3, 2018, in Chicago, Illinois; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the National Concrete Masonry Association hereby be commended for its service to concrete producers and suppliers throughout the Commonwealth and the United States on the occasion of its 100th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the National Concrete Masonry Association as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's many contributions to the concrete industry.
