HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 363
Commending the Prince William Committee of 100.
 
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 7, 2024
 

WHEREAS, the Prince William Committee of 100, an organization dedicated to providing a nonpartisan, educational forum to explore essential interests, problems, and goals of the residents of Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2023; and

WHEREAS, the Prince William Committee of 100 seeks to establish common understanding that facilitates the possibility for reaching meaningful and effective solutions to various issues and concerns; and

WHEREAS, the membership of the Prince William Committee of 100 draws from a diverse group of local businesses, civic, cultural, and government leaders, leveraging a broad range of perspectives and expertise; and

WHEREAS, during meetings of the Prince William Committee of 100, members hear panel presentations by local, regional, and national figures on current issues of importance to the local community; and

WHEREAS, by offering a space in which individuals may come together to gain greater understanding of the matters affecting their community, the Prince William Committee of 100 has helped to make Prince William County and the surrounding areas wonderful places to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Prince William Committee of 100 hereby be commended for its legacy of service; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Prince William Committee of 100 as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's history and its contributions to Prince William County and the Commonwealth.
