WHEREAS, the Global Telangana Association is an organization dedicated to uniting the Telangana community in its efforts to support individuals and families in need in Telangana and the United States and to foster the culture and traditions of Telangana; and
WHEREAS, the Global Telangana Association was founded to promote and encourage the advancement of the culture and traditions of the Telangana region of India by establishing a platform for cultural, educational, social, and development activities in Telangana and the United States; and
WHEREAS, the Global Telangana Association's efforts have multiplied since its founding and its activities and programs now assist the disabled, weaver communities, rural medical care, girls' education, farmers, women, youth, professionals, and other groups and services; and
WHEREAS, the Global Telangana Association serves as a guide to the Telangana community, helping its members join together in support of the goals and aspirations of the organization; and
WHEREAS, the Global Telangana Association organizes a Bathukamma event every year, an annual flower festival that brings the community together to celebrate its culture and traditions; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Global Telangana Association are the results of the wisdom and guidance of its leaders and the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of its many volunteers; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Global Telangana Association hereby be commended for its legacy of service; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Global Telangana Association as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its mission and achievements.
