WHEREAS, Connor Wright, a ninth-grade student at Woodbridge Senior High School, achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank conferred by the Boy Scouts of America, in 2023; and
WHEREAS, Connor Wright of Boy Scouts of America Troop 1369, which is sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7916 in Occoquan, achieved the Eagle Scout rank upon completing his service project and was presented the rank at a Court of Honor ceremony on July 20, 2023; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his accomplishments with the Boy Scouts of America, Connor Wright is also active in sports and in his community; and
WHEREAS, by becoming an Eagle Scout at the young age of 14, Connor Wright has demonstrated great promise and he will undoubtedly work tirelessly for the benefit of his community for many years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Connor Wright hereby be commended for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Connor Wright as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his achievements.
