WHEREAS, the Carroll County High School girls' junior varsity basketball team finished the 2015 - 2016 season with a perfect 21 - 0 record; and WHEREAS, the Carroll County High School girls' junior varsity basketball team, which only had seven players for much of the season, outscored opponents by 1,123 - 461 or an average of 31.5 points per game; the team's closest game all season was a 15-point win; and WHEREAS, the Carroll County High School Cavaliers demonstrated effective teamwork and dedication, with several of the girls leading the team in scoring over the course of the season; and WHEREAS, the Cavaliers' successful season is a testament to the hard work of all the student-athletes, the leadership and guidance of the coaches and staff, and the enthusiastic support of the entire Carroll County High School community; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Carroll County High School girls' junior varsity basketball team on its undefeated 2015 - 2016 season; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Hagen Giles, head coach of the Carroll County High School girls' junior varsity basketball team, as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the team's achievements and best wishes for the future. |
