WHEREAS, Victoria Cimino, executive director and chief executive officer of Visit Williamsburg, an official marketing organization dedicated to promoting tourism in Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown, retired from Visit Williamsburg on January 2, 2024; and

WHEREAS, after many years in the public relations and marketing industry, including a role as director of the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development, Victoria "Vicki" Cimino took the helm of Visit Williamsburg in 2019; and

WHEREAS, Vicki Cimino made an immediate impact on Visit Williamsburg and its initiatives through her visionary leadership and invaluable marketing experience and expertise; and

WHEREAS, during her tenure with Visit Williamsburg, Vicki Cimino produced award-winning marketing campaigns that helped the region achieve its highest visitorship and hotel occupancy in several years; and

WHEREAS, Vicki Cimino played a vital role in the region's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, helping revitalize tourism in the Greater Williamsburg area following the historic public health crisis; and

WHEREAS, Vicki Cimino's indefatigable efforts have made Williamsburg a leading global destination, contributing greatly to the prosperity of the region; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Victoria Cimino for her service as executive director and chief executive officer of Visit Williamsburg; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Victoria Cimino as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her legacy of service and best wishes for her future endeavors.
