Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. The Department of Education and the Virginia Community College System shall convene a stakeholder work group consisting of representatives of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, the State Board for Community Colleges, the Early Childhood Care and Education Advisory Committee established pursuant to § 22.1-289.04 of the Code of Virginia, the Virginia Head Start Association, and early childhood care and education programs and other relevant stakeholders to evaluate and provide recommendations on expanding the availability of Head Start programs at comprehensive community colleges. The work group shall report its findings and recommendations to the Chairmen of the Senate Committee on Education and Health and the House Committee on Education by October 1, 2024.
