HOUSE BILL NO. 838 Offered January 11, 2012 Prefiled January 11, 2012 A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 24.2 a section numbered 24.2-304.04, relating to technical adjustments of certain House of Delegates District boundaries. ---------- Patrons-- Hope, Lopez, Brink and Englin ---------- Committee Referral Pending ----------

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 24.2 a section numbered 24.2-304.04 as follows:

§24.2-304.04. House of Delegates districts.

Subject to the provisions of subsections A, B, and C of §24.2-304.03, the following House of Delegates districts shall be comprised as follows:

Forty-seventh. Part of Arlington County comprised of the Arlington Forest (025), Ashlawn (039), Ashton Heights (002), Ballston (004), Buckingham (045), Central (046), Clarendon (014), Courtlands (048), Dominion Hills (029), East Falls Church (011), Glen Carlyn (013), Lexington (031), Lyon Park (015), Monroe (049), Nottingham (037), Overlee Knolls (017), Park Lane (018), Taylor (051), Virginia Square (040), Westover (023), and Woodbury (041) Precincts and parts of the Barcroft (005) and Jefferson (027) Precincts.

Forty-ninth. Part of Arlington County comprised of the Arlington (001), Arlington Mill (043), Arlington View (038), Claremont (028), Columbia (009), Fillmore (026), Four Mile Run (047), Glebe (030), Hume (008), and Virginia Highlands (021) Precincts and parts of the Barcroft (005), Jefferson (027), and Oakridge (032) Precincts; and part of Fairfax County comprised of the Glen Forest (505), Glen Forest #2 (529), Skyline (520), and Willston (517) Precincts and part of the Baileys (501) Precinct.

2. That the first enactment changes the assignment of certain census blocks to House of Delegates districts as follows:

In Arlington County, blocks 510131023023000, 510131023023001, 510131023023004, 510131023023005, 510131023024003, 510131023024005, 510131023024009, and 510131023024018 are reassigned from District 47 to District 49 and blocks 510131024003000, 510131024003001, 510131024003002, 510131024003003, 10131024003004, 10131024003005, 510131024003006, and 510131024003008 are reassigned from District 49 to District 47.
