Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 2.2-3106.1 as follows:

§2.2-3106.1. Prohibited business relationships and contracts between the Governor and certain appointees.

The Governor shall have no business or contractual relationship with any person appointed by him as an agency head pursuant to §2.2-106 or as a Secretary pursuant to §2.2-200 while the Governor is in office and that person serves in his appointed position.
