12101778D Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia: 1. §1. That the Board of Housing and Community Development shall amend the Statewide Fire Prevention Code (§27-94 et seq.) of the Code of
Virginia in accordance with the provisions of §27-97 of the Code of Virginia to distinguish the insurance requirements between
consumer fireworks show as defined in §D.1.11 of the
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1126, 2006 edition, and display fireworks shows as defined in §
D.1.17 of NFPA 1126, 2006 edition. No permit holder for a
consumer fireworks show shall be required to have insurance
coverage for potential damages to a person or persons or to property by reason
of the permitted display and arising from any acts of the permit holder in
excess of $500,000. |
