Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 22.1-296.5 as follows:

§22.1-296.5. Employment verification required.

Each school board shall provide written verification of employment within 10 days of receipt of any request for employment verification from a former employee of the school board.
