Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 8.01-219.2 as follows:

§ 8.01-219.2. Personal injury actions; situations of peril created by a plaintiff's negligence.

In any personal injury action, a plaintiff shall not be able to recover against a defendant for an injury solely due to the defendant's failure to avoid a situation of peril created by the plaintiff's negligence.
