| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens | ||
| of San Antonio in mourning the loss of William H. Broadus, Jr., | ||
| who died May 29, 2013; and | ||
| WHEREAS, William Broadus was an exemplary citizen who was | ||
| widely respected and admired in his community for his many | ||
| achievements; and | ||
| WHEREAS, He enriched the lives of all those who knew him | ||
| with his courage in the face of adversity and his commitment to | ||
| others; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A man of strength, compassion, and generosity, he | ||
| gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued | ||
| counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and | ||
| WHEREAS, He was devoted to his loving family, and he leaves | ||
| behind memories that will be treasured forever by all who were | ||
| privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere | ||
| condolences to the bereaved family of William H. Broadus, Jr.; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
| Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
| memory of William H. Broadus, Jr. | ||
