	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 83
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize the Dallas Independent School District on the occasion
	of its dedication of the Dr. H. B. Bell School Support Service
	Center on February 8, 2013; and
	WHEREAS, Formerly known as the Buckner School Support
	Service Center, the building will be renamed after Dr. Bell, a
	dedicated educator, advocate, and administrator who served in
	the Dallas area district for three decades; and
	WHEREAS, Among his many gifts to the community was
	Dr. Bell's service as executive director of the Yvonne Ewell
	Townview Magnet Center, which now serves as a flagship school for
	others across the country; and
	WHEREAS, In renaming the Buckner building, the district
	pays homage to a tireless public servant and champion of
	opportunity through education; the administrative building holds
	the offices of Teaching and Learning, Evaluation and
	Accountability, Library Media, Psychological Services, and
	Educational Technology, among others; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
	83rd Legislature, hereby commend the leadership of the Dallas
	Independent School District as it honors the memory of one of its
	finest administrators with the dedication of the Dr. H. B. Bell
	School Support Service Center; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	the district as a memento of this special occasion.
