SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 824
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Dallas Triple A Academy Stallions boys' basketball
team, which recently won the University Interscholastic League
Class 1A Division I state championship title; and
WHEREAS,
at the state tournament, defeating the Mumford High
School Mustangs in the state finals on March 9, 2013, in Austin;
and
WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great
talent and perseverance throughout the school year, ending the
season with a 28-5 record; team members can take pride in their
outstanding performance; and
WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of
head coach Timothy Singleton, the Stallions have developed
exceptional teamwork and discipline; and
WHEREAS, Triple A Academy and the City of Dallas are proud
of the Stallions for their hard work, their impressive skills,
and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, hereby commend the Triple A Academy Stallions on
their successful season and congratulate them on winning the
Class 1A Division I boys' basketball state championship; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
