| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and | ||
| commemorates the life of Albert Byron Sibbet, who died January 9, | ||
| 2013, at the age of 66; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Byron Sibbet was born October 30, 1945, in Fort | ||
| Worth; he attended York Christian College and Abilene Christian | ||
| University and earned a degree in business from McMurry | ||
| University; he married Joan Hatfield in 1973 and the couple | ||
| raised a daughter, Staci, who blessed them with a grandchild, | ||
| Taylor; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, He became interested in politics while still in | ||
| high school, and he drew on that attraction later in life by | ||
| running for and serving in elected office; he served as a city | ||
| councilmember in North Richland Hills and was mayor pro tempore | ||
| for a decade; he was president of Midcities Democrats and served | ||
| as an election judge; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved | ||
| family of Albert Byron Sibbet; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
| Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
| memory of Albert Byron Sibbet. | ||
