| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great | ||
| pleasure in recognizing Patricia Lillie Zamora, of Brownsville, | ||
| on the splendid occasion of her 50th birthday; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This proud Texan has been the light of her | ||
| family's life since she was born on April 27, 1963, the third | ||
| daughter of Alfredo and Ana Zamora of Brownsville; and | ||
| WHEREAS, As a young child, Patsy attended Saint Joseph | ||
| Catholic Church in Brownsville, and she received her First Holy | ||
| Communion at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral; she attended | ||
| Annie S. Putegnat Elementary School, where she learned to read | ||
| and write and studied mathematics under the tutelage of Mrs. | ||
| Bettenhauser; and | ||
| WHEREAS, After transferring to Lincoln Park School, she | ||
| graduated at the age of 22 from the program there for special | ||
| children, inspiring and delighting her parents, her teachers, | ||
| and her friends; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout her 50 years, this exemplary daughter, | ||
| sibling, and aunt has brought great joy to all who know her; as | ||
| the Zamora family members celebrate this milestone in Patsy's | ||
| life, they will fondly reflect on that special day in April when | ||
| their beloved Patsy was born; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 83rd Legislature, hereby recognize Patricia Lillie Zamora as a | ||
| treasured citizen and extend to her sincere best wishes for a | ||
| joyous 50th birthday; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| Patsy Zamora as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
